Dr. Mayur Patel is a Texas native who earned his Bachelor of Science and Arts with Highest Honors in Biology from The University of Texas at Austin. He later received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, also known as McGovern Medical School.

Dr. Patel completed his psychiatry residency at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in New York. During his training, he helped develop and expand the Spravato® (esketamine) treatment program for patients with treatment-resistant depression. He also completed certification in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) through the Academy of Brain Stimulation, adding to his experience in interventional psychiatry.
